RIP Christopher Reeve

Not an obscure celebrity, but this month we salute Christopher Reeve.

Of course, best known for his role as Superman, in his later years Reeve became the biggest advocate of stem cell research the world has seen.

Stem cell research could be capable of curing some of the worst of the worst our medical world has seen. From fighting cancer cells, replacing pacemakers with biological versions, vision loss, Parkinson’s disease, creating insulin producing cells, joint replacement and more.

Reeve fell into a coma Saturday after going into cardiac arrest. He later died of heart failure.

Thanks for everything Christopher, you were a hero to the end.
